Travelling's Hard! Which is why I LOVE the Internet!

So, you and I know that in today's economy, it is getting harder to get around without paying an arm and a leg.  Just look at what's happened with the monthly Unlimited Metrocards in NYC - $81.00 for "eh" service! Now gas prices are going up and my expendable income is shrinking. I really love to travel (just ask anyone of my friends) - whether it's to a US or International destination, but I really can't afford the plane ticket, room and board costs plus gifts for my loved ones anymore.

For a short trip to London, that would cost me $900 for a 3 day vacation (and that's not long enough to really enjoy a city)! Between available time and money issues, what was I supposed to do? Thanks to the internet, I don't have to feel too bad about my situation (especially with blogs like this where I can write about my feelings).

At www.NYCwebstore.com, for example, it looks like I can travel anywhere I want (gift-wise that is) at the click of a button! From Ireland, London, Paris, Germany, Italy, Russia, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Texas, Chicago, New Orleans, Florida, DC, Boston and finally, the city closest to my heart, New York City, they really do have it all! I bought the cutest things like a New Orleans Snow Globe, a California Travel Book that had some crazy and interesting stories I've never found in other general guides, a London Telephone Booth Bank, Brooklyn Bridge Wire Model, Christmas Ornaments on Sale (I love discounts! Tip for others: they have a big clearance section for those of us who like a break), Rockefeller Center Souvenirs (I know it's almost April, but I love the holiday season!), Chicago Mug, Las Vegas Musical Snow Globe, Italy Bracelet, and DC Mint Tins. Yeah, I went overboard (and I had wayyy too much time to have written this entry), but I really enjoyed my travel experience from the safety and comfort of my own home. Thanks, nycwebstore.com!
